The Best Facial Oils by Makeup.com

Now when I came across this article by

Makeup.com I could not agree even more. I am passionate about facial oils. Using them to ‘double cleanse’, use as a ampoule, or use it on top of your moisturizer as a dewy primer. I have been making my own which you have the control on the oils you think are great for your skin. My fave is: rosehip oil, almond oil, tamanu, frankincense, lavender, apricot seed oil. Well you get the gist. Here are a list of great oils. I  have used the Lancôme and the L’Oréal (which is the same company) and Kiehl’s. Love love love. Go out and get a great oil! What’s the first thing you do when you’re feeling under the weather? We’d venture to guess stockpiling vitamins and herbal remedies tops the list, because you are what you eat, right? So it shouldn’t come as a complete surprise that topically treating your skin with the gifts of nature’s bounty may also erase signs of fatigue—dull tone, dryness, uneven texture, blemishes, the usual suspects. And while this advice may sound a bit like the platitudes from your childhood (“Don’t forget to take your vitamins!”), it turns out mom was onto something.

It’s important to give your skin a daily dose of nutrients to keep it looking healthy, and the best way to deliver these skin-beneficial ingredients is by incorporating facial oils into your beauty routine. Natural oils like jojoba and rosehip have been used in skincare since antiquity, but just recently they’ve surged in popularity with beauty buffs everywhere.

As your beauty sensei, we’ve tracked down the best products to suit your specific skincare needs. Here are five facial oils your skin will thirst after.

For a Skin Reset: L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition SPF Facial Oil

Sometimes you just need to press the “reset” button on your skin. Formulated with regenerating ingredients, this oil renews your skin’s natural moisture barrier, helping to bring back the vitality and glow of youth.

For a Thorough Cleanse: Biotherm Biosource Balm-to-Oil

Good things come in threes, including this cleansing oil. This little number starts as a balm, melts into an oil and becomes a nourishing milk that rids the face of impurities and even stubborn waterproof makeup. So, the milk-like finish allows for the skin to stay hydrated well after it’s been cleansed and you don’t have to worry about that stiff, uncomfortable post-wash feel.

For a Mini Spa Sesh: Lancôme Absolue Sublime Oleo-Serum

Sometimes, you gotta treat yourself to a little pampering. Infused with precious oils, this serum will have you swimming in the lap of luxury, not to mention feeling like a million bucks. Work a little of this oil into your clean skin when your complexion is looking and feeling a little worse for the wear. The nourishing properties will instantly revitalize your face and make it appear more radiant.
